ECONEXUS’S POLYFUEL SHORTLISTED FOR THE 2016 AFRICA ENERGY GENERATION PRIZE
Econexus’s Polyfuel was selected to enroll in the African Energy non-coventional incubation programme in Togo. African Energy Generation is the first Pan-African innovation and invention contest of non-conventional energy sources organized by the Energy Generation, Paris with support from Akon Lighting Africa Initiative, Solektra Solar Academy, Bamako, Mali and Schneider Electric, France.
The contest is being organized to select ten finalists across Africa to integrate the Energy Generation Academy for a one-year high level training curriculum. The Energy Generation Academy is the first training center with the ambition to provide young project leaders training of excellence specialized in the development of unconventional sources of energy, to promote access to electricity in sub-Saharan Africa through technological innovation and youth entrepreneurship. This Pan-Africa Academy is based in Lomé, Togo.
An Awards ceremony is planned at the end of the training program in Lomé, Togo, to reward the applicants. During the awards ceremony Top three finalists selected by the Jury will each receive 5000, 3000 and 2000 Euros as well as training in the Solektra Solar Academy in Bamako, Mali.
